Youth in the Countryside

‘Youth in the Countryside’ is a European photography network-project.
25 emerging photographers and partnering institutions from Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the United Kingdom work together on a single subject:

‘Youth in the Countryside’ addresses social and cultural differences and similarities between the nations, as well as the changes and identity of young Europeans.

In 2007 each photographer realizes his or her artistic concept in collaboration with the other group members. This is to be realised in a number of hands-on workshops and through a web-platform. A touring exhibition across Europe is planned to start in the beginning of 2008. This will include all work produced and will also launch a special book publication, including the images with additional texts and interviews.

The aim of the project is to establish an enduring artistic and cultural exchange between participants, institutions and the public in all European countries.
